John Lewis may steal much of the Christmas attention with its multi-million pound advert but it may have already been beaten this year.
Items featured in the John Lewis advert usually become the must-have Christmas accessory and in previous years have included moon and star lamps, monster toys and last year pianos as advertised by Elton John.
But Marks and Spencer could have stolen the Christmas crown this year with one eye-catching item that has got people talking.
After revealing its Christmas range customers quickly spotted the Marks and Spencer Christmas gin because it also doubles as a magical snow globe.
Not only is the gin flavoured with a festive fruit in the form of clementines, the liquid includes tiny flecks of gold that mean the bottle looks just like a snow globe when you give it a shake.
The bottle, priced at £15 , means it can be used as a decoration in the lead up to Christmas and then enjoyed as a tipple on the day itself and shoppers are already praising the retailer for the innovation.
Commenting on a photo of the bottle on the @marksandspencerfoodpr Instagram account, one person said: "This looks and sounds delicious."
Another wrote: "NEED NEED NEED."
A third replied: "How good does this look?!"
Another simply proclaimed: "OMG!"
Someone else branded it "gorgeous", while another thought it was a "game changer".
The bottle has even taken attention from Christmas food and drink that includes a festive makeover for Colin the Caterpillar cake and even an eye-catching rainbow Christmas cake.
