You can buy a footlong Subway and a drink for under £5 today

Subway has launched a new sandwich deal for lunchtime customers only.

The fast food chain is currently offering a footlong sandwich along with a drink for £4.99.

Every footlong filling is available in the deal from Chicken Teriyaki and the Spicy Italian to the popular Meatball Marinara Melt and the Steak and Cheese sub.

All vegan sandwich flavours - including the Veggie Delite and the Vegan Sub - can also be purchased as part of the promotion.

And as Subway doesn't charge extra for salad and vegetables - diners can also choose from 11 different types of fresh ingredients to add to their footlong for free.

But if you want to get your hands on the footlong sandwich and drink combo - you’ll have to be quick.

Today is the last day the promotion is running.

To redeem the offer, customers need to use their mobile devices to show the above post to the ‘Sandwich Artist’.

The promotion has been launched nationwide but you can click here to find out if your local store is participating in the deal.

Subway has also recently announced that one of its most successful trial sandwiches is back to stay.

The plant-based Meatless Meatball Marinara was introduced to customers as part of Veganuary 2020.

But in a recent announcement, the chain revealed that the popular sandwich would become a permanent fixture on its menu.

The 469 calorie Meatless Meatball Marinara is made from plant-based meatballs covered in a marinara sauce and topped with vegan cheese.
