You can actually stay the night in this old 1970s private jet

As well as beautiful mountains, pristine lakes, dramatic coastlines and rolling countryside, Wales also has a range of extraordinary places to stay that aren't quite like anywhere else you might have been.

One of the more unique places to stay in Wales is probably a converted jet plane that's located in Pembrokeshire.

The 'JetStar' is a converted private jet containing many original features, including a fully functional cockpit with the addition of an Xbox 360 with flight games that you can play whilst sitting in the pilot or co-pilot's seat.

Built in the 1970s, the plane retains most of its classic private jet features, including a lit-up bar area, making it a unique stay that will get you the best snaps for Instagram!

The main fuselage seats nine people on six leather seats with walnut inlaid dropdown tables and a leather sofa.

There is a drinks preparation area surrounded with classic '70s mirrors and padded leather upholstery. It's got everything you need to glamp in style in unique surroundings that are utterly photo-worthy.

At the back is a double bedroom in the style of a ship's cabin and there is a single bed behind the cockpit as well as a cosy leather sofa, sleeping four in total. The owners say it would suit a couple or two adults and two children.

The cabin and the cockpit are powered by mains electricity but the main body of the former aircraft has the original lighting and is powered by car batteries.

A lavatory and cold water sink at the rear of the plane are still operational and there are also communal hot shower facilities. For cooking during your stay, the jet star features a communal BBQ as well as an outside shared kitchen area.

The outdoor kitchen is stocked with basics such as a sink, microwave, fridges, toaster and kettle as well as pots, pans and cutlery. Why not bring your own food and cook under the stars one night? It's definitely an unusual dining experience in Pembrokeshire.

There is also a laundry area with a washing machine, dryer and washing lines if you needed to pop a wash on during your jet star stay.

The Jet Star is situated in Redberth, Pembrokeshire and prices start from £159 per night for two people. Book with Apple Camping.
