Sammy Ameobi was again the name on the lips of Nottingham Forest’s travelling supporters after his goal sealed an important win at Luton Town, just as he was during his side's last win on the road.
The winger, signed on a free transfer after he left Bolton Wanderers in the summer, has been a revelation at the City Ground.
Ameobi scored Forest’s crucial second goal at Kenilworth Road in the 58th minute, adding to Lewis Grabban’s opener six minutes before half-time.
Sabri Lamouchi’s Reds had to weather a late storm from the Hatters, who pulled a goal back in the closing stages to set up a tense finale, but Forest held on to secure a first away win since Stoke City in late September – a result which sees them back into the Championship’s top six ahead of next weekend’s East Midlands battle with arch-rivals Derby County.
