'You back him to score' - Joe Worrall praises Nottingham Forest marksman Lewis Grabban

Joe Worrall has described teammate Lewis Grabban as a 'top player' after he opened the scoring against Luton to take his tally to six for the season for Nottingham Forest

The former England Under-21 international says Grabban's overall contribution can be limited, but he is generally deadly inside the penalty box, as he showed last weekend after he struck following a rare miss in the 12th minute.

Grabban fired Forest into a first half lead at Kenilworth Road before Sammy Ameobi sealed the win early into the second half to set the Reds up nicely for Saturday’s lunchtime showdown with arch-rivals County at a sold-out City Ground.

"He doesn't often miss two chances in a row. You back him to score," Worrall said.

"I often say to him 'you'll get one today' and he's done that. He's got six goals this season and he's a top player.

"He doesn't affect the game massively but when he's in the box you fancy him to get on the end of something.

"That's what he did at Luton."
