John Holder's verdict

1) The non-striker is out, run out. Even though the striker originally left his ground, he regained it before the non-striker joined him, so is safe from being run out. Thanks to Graeme Cole.
2) The bail could very well have fallen off after the striker was given out LBW, in which case the decision would stand – but because of the uncertainty, I would call dead ball, call the striker back and cancel that ball in the over so that it did not count. It is important to note that, while the fielding side were helpful in repairing the wicket after it had been broken, the striker's end umpire should have checked to ensure it had been properly remade. Nigel Chapman wins the shirt.
3) It is obvious that the striker was distracted here, and his objection is fair enough. Immediately call and signal dead ball and make sure that the ball did not count in that over. The batsman is not out. Thanks to Peter Steelman.
