You Are Not Prepared For This Ten Hour ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Review

Cyberpunk 2077 CDPR

While we all sit around and wait for any news regarding Cyberpunk 2077, its free DLC, a date for next gen after the delay, or expansion news, here’s something to keep you occupied.

That would be a sprawling, ten hour review of Cyberpunk 2077 by the legendary Tim Rogers on his Action Button channel. Yes, you read that correctly, ten hours. I am pretty sure you can beat the entire main story campaign in Cyberpunk 2077 in that amount of time.

This may sound absurd if you’ve never followed Tim’s work, but this is sort of his thing. You’ve heard of “minimalism,” well, Tim embodies “maximalism” in the YouTube sphere, and is known for these hilariously long reviews that contain lengthy asides and background about what he’s covering. The intro video alone for the Cyberpunk 2077 review is an hour by itself, for example.

The end of that video will lead you into the unlisted playlist videos for the full ten hour scope of the review. Self-indulgent? Maybe, but I think most fans of his would agree that ten hours with Tim is ten hours well spent, given the entirely unique format of his reviews, and the meat of the commentary they contain.

I’m not really one to talk. Since Cyberpunk 2077 debuted a year ago, I have noticed a void in the coverage for the game that I aimed to fill, as even though the game was a huge “failure,” 15+ million people still bought it, and wanted to read about it. So I’ve written dozens (a hundred?) articles about Cyberpunk 2077 in the last year, and could probably compile them all into a book at this point. So I’m not about to judge someone who did a ten hour deep dive review of the game.

Since this only came out 12 hours ago, no, I have not been able to watch all of it yet, but I’m working my way through it, and there’s a lot of interesting stuff her already. I know the length seems absurd, but if you are as fascinated with the entire Cyberpunk saga as much as I am, then this is probably going to be worth a watch.

So, it’s back to waiting for updates. Given that they have announced a delay of next-gen, I am not expecting anything except probably one more major “fix things” patch before the end of the year, which may contain some free DLC. It would be kind of a bummer if CDPR did literally nothing for the 1 year anniversary, but we’ll have to see.
