Yoshinori Muto hits out at tactics after Newcastle United's defeat at Norwich - and claims: 'I felt isolated'

Yoshinori Muto has revealed he felt "isolated" during Newcastle United's 3-1 defeat at Carrow Road.

Fellow striker Joelinton sustained a nasty knock to his hip at Norwich and will be continue to assessed this week for ahead of the Tottenham game next Sunday.

But Muto has asked his team-mates to up their levels of service after he managed to touch the ball just FIVE times in 27 minutes.

He said: "It was really hard. I felt isolated and I was always surrounded by three or four opponents.

"As a forward that was very tough. As a team we struggled overall."

Muto has netted just once in the Premier League after making the switch from Mainz in the Bundesliga last term.

After watching on as United struggled against the Canaries, he said: "When I was watching in the first half I was expecting it to be difficult when I came on because Joelinton was struggling as well.

"Pukki got a hat-trick and he reacted well on the counter attack.

"It is the sort of image that I'd like to provide for my team."

Newcastle were called into training on Sunday and Muto feels that hard work is the only answer for the the Magpies now.

He said: "I'd like to change things.

"We want to change the situation after two defeats.

"We have to train harder. I hope that my individual play will be very important this season."
