Yorkshire has a new Michelin star restaurant as 2019 awards announced

There were changes in Yorkshire as the latest Michelin star awards were announced, yet Leeds did retain its one Michelin star restaurant.

Man Behind the Curtain is Leeds' only star-rated eatery, and the site run by famous chef Michael O'Hare has managed to retain the accolade.

Yorkshire as a wider region had a more mixed time of it, as one restaurant lost a Michelin star, yet a star was gained by another.

The Yorke Arms at Pateley Bridge unfortunately lost its star, however The Angel at Hetton in north Yorkshire is a new entry in the prestigious guide.

The region has retained three other star-rated restaurants in the Pipe and Glass at Dalton, Black Swan at Oldstead and the Star in Harome - all are based in north Yorkshire.
