An old-fashioned brewery in Yorkshire has started delivering beer to local residents using its horses.
Samuel Smith Brewery in Tadcaster has always delivered barrels to pubs using horses.
Despite being on a national lockdown since 23 March, forcing the brewery to close, it has decided to innovate by launching a delivery service that will help keep its business running and keep the animals fit.
The horses are stabled behind the Angel & White Horse pub, which is next to Samuel Smith Brewery.
The brewery’s manager, Simon Crook, has been carrying out the deliveries himself.
In normal circumstances, the horses would make local deliveries around Tadcaster five days a week.
The brewery is Yorkshire’s oldest, and was established in 1758.
Crook hopes that his new delivery service will give the animals the exercise they need during lockdown, in addition to providing a morale boost to residents.
