Yokohama F Marinos send Ange Postecoglou on emotional farewell as new Celtic boss hailed

Yokohama F Marinos have sent an emotional farewell to Ange Postecoglou after he was officially confirmed as the new Celtic manager.

The former Australia boss took charge on a 12-month rolling contract and left the J-League outfit after three years in charge.

He developed into a well-loved figure in Japan and they posted an emotional farewell on their social media pages ahead of his arrival in Scotland.

It has already been shared more than 1000 times with even more likes on it and shows his journey from taking over until leaving, including winning the J-League in 2019.

The emotional two minute video has been well received by Yokohama fans and Celtic supporters alike.

Postecoglou was a surprise choice as Neil Lennon's replacement at Celtic Park after Eddie Howe decided to turn down the job after months of discussions.

But he's had success in Australia and in Japan as well on the international stage when he won the Asian Cup with the Socceroos.

The 55-year-old is yet to announce his backroom staff, although it is expected that John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan could stay on.
