Yogis reach for sky in Tokyo

People practiced yoga on the roof of the 230-meter-high Shibuya Scramble Square in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, on Wednesday morning.

Forty-four people including company employees gathered at the turf-covered heliport of the 47-story high-rise that is directly connected to Shibuya Station, and followed the movements of an instructor to practice yoga for relaxation.

A 28-year-old woman from the ward said she signed up for the event with her friend.

"I could move my body peacefully while overlooking the Tokyo sky. I'll be able to have a good day today," she said.
