LUCKNOW: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home minister Amit Shah on Monday exuded hope that the strong resolve of the Yogi Adityanath government in UP would bring in necessary changes in governance and public welfare.
Yogi, who met PM Modi and Amit Shah along with his two deputies Keshav Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, is learnt to have discussed a host of issues and initiatives taken by his government immediately after forming the government in UP.
Home minister Shah advised the UP CM and his deputies to hit the ground running and get cracking on development schemes. Adityanath also received a high ground of appreciation from both leaders for ushering in development and public welfare measures after coming back to power for the second consecutive term.
Yogi has been pushing up an aggressive line of governance even as BJP seeks to acquire more and more popular ground in the run up to 2024 Lok Sabha elections when PM Modi will see a third consecutive term.
Immediately after meeting Yogi and his two deputy's PM Modi tweeted: "Discussed several issues related to the state's progress. Their strong resolve for the welfare of the people and the country will add a new dimension to the development of the state."
Amit Shah tweeted that the strong resolve of the Yogi Adityanath government in UP was expected to bring in necessary changes in governance and public welfare.
Experts said that the BJP leadership looked keenly at UP which sends the maximum number of MPs to Lok Sabha. Yogi, as a matter of fact, has been in action even as the opposition, mainly Samajwadi Party, sought to regain the lost political ground after the UP elections.
