Yogi government insensitive towards people's issues: RLD chief Jayant Singh

SHAMLI: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Singh on Sunday criticised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying that his government is insensitive toward people’s issues, during a rally organised in the Shamli district.

Singh said, “The price index is hitting the ceiling and on top of that Yogi government has planned to increase power tariffs by 23%. Social justice is a constitutional responsibility, but the government doesn't want to conduct a caste census.”

“Yogi is sleeping peacefully and he doesn't see that the stray cattle are troubling farmers in the fields. Those sitting on the chair do not want to change and we all need a social revolution in such circumstances,” he added.

Taking a dig at the Agnipath scheme, he said, “The president is the supreme commander of the Indian army according to the 53rd article of the constitution, and all the processes of army recruitment were changed under this scheme. Its future results are yet to be known, but the president couldn’t even say one word on the good results of the scheme in her recent speech at the Lok Sabha.”

Meanwhile, the RLD chief also unveiled a statue of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh in the Unn town of the district.
