Cajuste was a three-year starter at West Virginia. He earned the starting left tackle job as a redshirt freshman and started 30 games through his senior season, finishing his collegiate career as the Big 12’s Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year and All-Big 12 Conference First Team in 2018.
Cajuste is a former basketball player, and those traits show on the field. He is a balanced big man with long arms, sound footwork, and controlled movements in pass protection that has been profoundly tested. But Cajuste is still unrefined in several areas, lunging which causes him to lose balance, sporadic hand placement, and not properly using angles in the run game.
Overall, Cajuste’s power, mobility and length are all plus traits that are strong foundations. Despite the areas that he will need to work on at the next level, Cajuste has the makings of a starting NFL left tackle that could start from Day 1.
