Yodel driver 'spits on customer's letter box' after realising she's not home

A delivery driver appeared to spit on a customer's letter box after finding out she wasn't in.

The driver was delivering a parcel from Yodel to the customer's home in Oxton at around 1.30pm yesterday (February 13). The customer, who wishes to remain anonymous, asked for the parcel to be left in a safe place behind the bins as she was not home.

Video footage captured shows the driver placing a card into the letter box. He then appears to spit on the letter box,

Afterwards, he then picks up the parcel and returns to his vehicle. The customer told the ECHO that she believes the driver "spat on the letter box in anger" at the fact she wasn't in.

A Yodel spokesperson said: “We take driver behaviour very seriously and this incident clearly does not meet our high standards. We have taken appropriate action and reached out to the customer to express our sincere apologies.”
