Thieves smashed the window of a car before pushing it down the road and driving away.
Three men, who were all dressed in dark clothing with one of them wearing a green jacket, made off in a white Ford Fiesta from Hillwood Close, Spital.
Merseyside Police received the report around 11.15pm on Saturday, May 1, when they were told the men smashed in the window and pushed the vehicle to the end of the road.
Anyone with information is being urged to come forward to speak to police after an appeal from the force..
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We would urge anyone with information about this incident to get in touch.
"I am appealing to the offenders to do the right thing, and find a way of returning the car.
"I also want to appeal to anyone who knows the whereabouts of the car and may have been offered it for sale, to contact us.
"You may have seen someone acting suspicious in the area of Hillwood Close that evening, or have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area up to the A41 and Wallasey tunnel around 11.15pm. If you can help in any way, please get in touch and help us bring the offenders to justice."
