Yobs on scooters punch man and threaten him with knife

A 21-year-old man was threatened with a knife and punched by a group of men on scooters in Birkenhead.

The terrifying incident happened on Tollemache Road in Birkenhead on July 9 at 6.10pm.

The man, travelling on a grey Titan Lexmoto scooter, managed to flee after being threatened and assaulted by the group.

Merseyside Police is now appealing for people with any information about the incident to come forward.

Posting on the Wirral Police Facebook page, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We're asking for the public to come forward if they remember seeing a man on a grey Titan Lexmoto scooter being threatened and assaulted by a number of other men on scooters earlier this month.

"The incident is reported to have happened on Tollemache Road B irkenhead on 9th July at 6:10pm.

"The victim, a 21 year old man, was threatened at knife point and punched but managed to get away."

People with dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the incident are being asked to get in touch with Merseyside Police via 101, DM, the Merseyside Police Contact Centre or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously.
