Yobs on bikes targeted teen in Paisley station robbery bid

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after three yobs attacked a teenager at a Paisley railway station.

The victim was travelling from on 9.24pm service from Crookston to Paisley Canal on July 9 when he was approached by three young men.

They followed the frightened youngster after he got off at Paisley Canal and demanded cash.

Two of the thugs demanded money from him and put him in a headlock, once they realised the victim had no money they left the area.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to help with their investigation.

"Witnesses or anyone with information can contact BTP by texting 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 334 of 11/07/21.

"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
