Yobs hurl apples at carer and threaten her with glass

An 18-year-old carer was threatened and pelted with apples while on her way to her next call.

Aaliyah Flynn was by the park on Latimer Street in Vauxhall when the incident took place at around 8pm yesterday (Sunday).

She said: "It was a group of about 10 of them. They only looked about 12 to 13.

"I am a carer and I was walking to my next call as I go house to house.

"They started throwing apples at me and my friend while we were working, as well as shouting verbal abuse.

"They then picked glass up off the floor and threatened to throw it at us."

She added: "It's disgusting to pick on vulnerable people trying to help the community. If it was done to an old person they would have felt really intimidated.

"I didn’t report it to the police due to me being on shift and I thought because they were underage nothing would have been done anyway."
