Yobs hunted after throwing bricks at homes of elderly Dumbarton residents

Two yobs as young as 14 are being hunted after throwing bricks at windows of the homes of elderly people in Dumbarton.

Police officers are probing the incidents which happened last Sunday at around 8.15pm.

Descriptions of the teenagers have been issued as cops appeal for information on the offences in Hillfoot Avenue.

Community Policing Inspector Mo Boyle said: “This was a despicable act which caused considerable alarm to the two older people who live in the homes which were targeted.

“We have been carrying out local enquiries and are keen to trace two teenage boys who were seen throwing bricks and ran off from the area when they were disturbed by a local resident.

“The boys are described as being about 14. One of them was wearing shorts and carrying a duffel bag. They were followed a short distance and last seen heading towards Stoneyflatt Road.
