A thug who suffered brain damage in a sledging accident with a toilet seat headbutted and spat at cops.
Liam Stafford, from Paisley, was so drunk he even asked police where he was when they stopped to speak to him in Middlesbrough.
The 23-year-old kicked off when they answered his question, and when they tried to arrest him, he "turned his head" and spat at one of the officers, Teeside Live reports.
Defence lawyer Paul McGee told Teeside Magistrates' Court that Stafford suffered "severe brain damage" after an accident caused by "sledging on a toilet seat" a number of years ago.
He pleaded guilty to four offences, including two counts of assaulting an emergency worker by beating, possession of class A drug cocaine and being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Rachel Butt, prosecuting, told the court how officers were driving shortly after midnight when they saw Stafford walking along the road shortly after midnight in September last year.
They said he "appeared to be intoxicated and he asked where he was".
When they explained to him he was in Middlesbrough, Stafford swore at them.
He was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and "turned his head and spat towards PC Tindall which connected with his stab vest".
A spit and bite guard was placed over his head and Stafford was taken to Cleveland Police's Middlesbrough headquarters.
While he was in custody he headbutted PC Butterfield, connecting with the left side of his head.
The attack left the officer with "severe headaches" and pain to the left side of his face.
In a victim personal statement, read aloud to the court, PC Tindall added that Stafford spitting at him was a "disgusting act".
Stafford was arrested again and searched, with officers finding a "small grip seal bag" containing cocaine.
Mr McGee said his client struggles with seizures and takes medication.
He added that Stafford was "intoxicated" at the time of the incidents and now believes his actions were the effects of alcohol and new medication.
The chair of the magistrates' bench ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared following submissions from the prosecution and defence.
Stafford will be sentenced at Teesside Magistrates' Court on March 17.
