Yob utters chilling threats to partner at Ayr holiday park

A holidaymaker flew into a rage after learning his mother had suffered heart failure- and no-one told him.
It was his partner who bore the brunt of his anger when he chillingly told her: “I will take your natural born life.”
Self employed gardener Steven Maughan, 25, of Foundry Lane, Widnes, appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Wednesday, July 10.
He admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear and alarm and that he did shout, swear, act in an aggressive manner and utter threats of violence against his partner.

The offence happened at Craig Tara Holiday Park, Dunune Road, Ayr, on May 5 this year.
Police attended and by the time they got there they heard Maughan shouting and swearing at his victim.
Upon opening the door to the caravan the accused appeared “upset” and was apprehended by officers.

He was cautioned and charged.
Sheriff Mhari Mactaggart told Maughan: “This was totally unacceptable behaviour against a background of troubling behaviour.”
Maughan was fined £400 and given 28 days to pay.
