Yob hunted by cops after deliberate fire near popular Falkirk tourist attraction

Police in Falkirk are on the hunt for a yob after a fire was started near a popular tourist attraction in the area.

Emergency services were called to a section of gorse close to the Falkirk Wheel on Saturday at around 3pm on Saturday April, 3.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Officers want to speak to a man seen wearing a dark t-shirt, grey joggers and a black cap.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5pm on Saturday April, 3, a fire was started in an area of gorse near the Falkirk Wheel.

Officers are appealing for information and would urge anyone who seen anything to get in touch.

"We believe a male wearing a dark T-shirt, grey joggers and a black cap may be involved. Please phone 101 quoting incident 1112 of 4th."
