Yes, you totally want to play golf with Christian Wilkins

The Miami Dolphins let loose and had some fun this weekend as the team marked the end of their voluntary organized team activities (OTAs). The organization held their 23rd annual Fins Weekend yesterday — a day filled with golf, fishing and plenty of other festivities featuring current and former Dolphins alike.

Given Miami’s rebuild, it was the first Fins Weekend for many — including head coach Brian Flores and the team’s 1st-round selection, defensive lineman Christian Wilkins. Wilkins may have quite a crowd for the event next year if his golf cart this year is any indication.

Have you ever wanted to ride through 18 holes with someone so badly in your life?

Wilkins has been praised for his enthusiasm and personality from the moment he arrived in South Florida — even during his time at Clemson. But getting to see him in situations like these can really let him shine — and serve as a nice reminder that the Dolphins don’t want stiffs or robots. They simply want football loving, hard working, smart, tough players.

Wilkins is as good an example as one will find that you can have all that and still have a blast off the field. His actual golf game? That’s still to be determined. But Wilkins should have plenty of Fins Weekend golf tournaments to come to really dial in his swing.
