Yes, a Titans Super Bowl would be worth watching

It’s well-known the Tennessee Titans don’t have the best odds of winning the Lombardi Trophy in 2019.

But most fans would at least agree that it would be interesting to watch Tennessee square off against a major NFC power to win it all.

Not all feel that way, though.

You can take The Ringer’s Danny Heifetz as an example.

“After two years of head coach Mike Mularkey going 9-7, the Titans fired him, hired Mike Vrabel, and promptly went … 9-7,” he wrote. “Not only were they mediocre, but they were ugly. Tennessee beat the Jaguars 9-6 with 83 passing yards in Week 3, lost 21-0 to the Ravens with 51 passing yards in Week 6, and beat the Giants 17-0 with 86 passing yards in Week 15. If the Titans somehow make the Super Bowl, it might not even be worth watching.“

And he didn’t stop there.

“Luckily, we probably don’t have to worry too much about that,” he said.

Regardless of which team you’re a fan of, it’s easy to disagree with this.

Between running back Derrick Henry’s record-breaking performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars last year, Mike Vrabel’s aggressive coaching style and the trick plays the team added in last year — you can’t exactly call the Titans a boring team to watch.

General manager Jon Robinson’s offseason moves, which should allow the Titans to be much stronger on both fronts and open up the passing game on offense, will make the Titans more intriguing to watch.

The Titans are far from favorable Super Bowl candidates at this point, but if they did make it all the way, it would be a game worth tuning in to.
