Yerry Mina proves doubters wrong as Marco Silva's Moise Kean call questioned

What are your current thoughts on Marco Silva?

I think that we have to be realistic.

Barring the West Ham United game all of our positive results have come against other teams that are struggling and it's telling that the first time we closed down with intensity was the first time anyone got excited this season.

Seeing Silva celebrate with a big smile against West Ham was the first time I've ever felt he was truly passionate about achieving something with us and I think that's why fans get so frustrated.

There seems to be a big lack of a connection between the manager and the fans at times.

Tottenham Hotspur haven’t won away from home in a long time. How big an opportunity is this for Everton and Silva to reignite their season?

Is it just me or does the Spurs game feel like we're essentially playing ourselves?

They're a team you'd expect to be in the top six, just as you would, and instead they're languishing at the bottom.

I don't think beating a struggling Spurs side will be the spark to get our season going but I do think a win would buy Marco Silva a few more months to try and turn things around.

Free agents: Should Everton go for one of these summer bargains?

Yerry Mina has been a revelation so far this season. How pleased have you been with the Colombian?

Yerry has been great so far this season, and I'll be honest I wasn't a fan at the start of the season because his positioning and decision making seemed a bit suspect. I like to be proven wrong though.

My only worry is that he seems to regularly be picking up knocks, and I also don't think that it's coincidence that his rise in form has come while Keane's form is dipping.

It's almost like Keane needs to be the numero uno defender on the team sheet to keep his confidence high.

A tricky Carabao Cup tie draw against Leicester. Are you confident?

I'm never confident this season.

I'd be more confident getting a bag of revels and hoping to end up with a bag full of coffee ones.

I think Leicester have looked fantastic this season, however if we press like we did against West Ham and not giving them a second on the ball we can definitely win.

Finally, any other thoughts?

I was more than annoyed at Moise Kean being played out on the wing against Watford this week.

I see flickers where I think he could be brilliant given time but playing him for half a game out of position I think was a very poor call.

Play the lad where you bought him to play or not at all.
