Yemeni Human Rights Coalition Says Houthis Committed 105 Violations in 20 Days

Yemen Network for Rights and Investigations affirmed that it has registered as many as 105 confirmed cases of abuse committed by the Houthi militia during the period from February 10, 2020 until February 29, 2020.

In its report published today by Yemen News Agency, the authority said the violations committed by the Houthi militia in the Yemeni governorates of Al-Hodeidah, Al-Dhalea', Sanaa, Taiz, Abb, Zamar, Amran, Maareb and Al-Jawf.

The actions committed include: direct killing, kidnapping, storming civilian homes, school attacking, abrupt arrest, and systematic hiding.

The report said there are 16 cases of killing, including two women and seven children, and seven different injuries including children and women.

It also highlighted 53 cases of kidnapping and arbitrary detention of civilians, including children and the elderly, 23 violations between looting, raiding and partial and total damage to civilian objects, and 5 cases of looting of vehicles belonging to citizens, and a case of bombing of a facility at the Salahuddin Al-Ayyoubi School in the Majzar North District Marib Governorate.
