
Yemeni Foreign Minister Khaled al-Yamani warned international aid agencies and organizations against succumbing to any pressure exerted by Houthis, saying these militias exploit UN and international organizations’ keenness to coordinate with local authorities.
Yamani, in his meeting with UN humanitarian coordinator Lise Grand in New York, stressed the need for international organizations to expose Houthi violations.
Grand confirmed that the UN is fully committed to work and coordinate with the Yemeni freely-elected government headed by President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi.
She added that the UN will be taking into the government’s remarks into consideration in addition to presented observations for the implementation of any program or projects across Yemeni provinces.
As for field developments, a number of Houthi militiamen were left dead and wounded in the aftermath of battles with Arab Coalition, army and pro-government forces.
Violent raids took place in the vicinity of the coastal city of Hodeidah, Sirawah, Marib and Saada, the coup’s stronghold.
National Army forces continued combing across southern areas in Hodeidah, targeting militia artillery positions and fortifications in Tahita, while the National Army continued its advances for the second day south of Taiz.
