Yemen's PM: We Won’t Allow Yemenis to Remain Hostage to Houthi Crimes

Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik (Saba news agency)

Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik said Monday his government will not allow the Yemeni people to remain hostage to crimes and violations committed by the Houthi terrorist militia.

The PM affirmed that the Yemeni government and its people, together with the national army, popular resistance and tribes, stand firm with all their capabilities against the Iran-backed Houthis to end their plot and restore the legitimate state.

“The Houthi escalation of terrorist crimes against the displaced and civilians in the Yemeni governorates of Marib and Hodeidah in particular as well as its ongoing military attacks against civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will not pass without the culprits being held accountable,” Abdulmalik said.

The Prime Minister also slammed the Houthi intransigence in waging its war in Yemen and following the Iranian agenda.

He urged the Security Council and the international community “to take deterrent measures to coerce the Iran-backed Houthis stop threatening the security and stability of Yemen and the region.”
