Yellow weather warning remains in place for Nottinghamshire today

A yellow weather warning remains in place for snow and ice in Nottinghamshire today (February 27), despite a change in the forecast for this morning.

The organisation predicts heavy rain at 8am and 9am today, before the weather turns cloudy later - with a chance of sun.

Yesterday, snow and sleet was forecast for the region in the morning.

After the initial burst of rain, forecasters are expecting sunny weather and sunny intervals for the remainder of the day.

The weather warning is now in place from the Highlands and down as far as London.

Temperatures in Nottingham are expected to reach highs of 6C today.
