Yellow weather warning for rain lifted for South West

After a Saturday full of downpours which saw Bonfire Night and firework displays called off a dry Sunday will no doubt be good news to many of us.

And while the Met Office have lifted the weather warning for rain in the South West, some is still expected throughout the night and into the morning (Sunday, Nov 3).

Elsewhere in the UK the weather warning is still in place with North East Scotland still forecast heavy rainfall.

In Bristol, and surrounding areas, we can expect rain on and off until around 7am, and then again from 5pm, leaving the bulk of the day dry enough to venture outside.

Winds are expected to remain strong.

As for the start of next week, we can still expect some showers but the drier spells will be longer.

Tuesday will be mostly dry, but it is only a short reprieve as a cold and wet Wednesday is predicted.
