Yellow weather warning for Nottinghamshire as heavy showers expected

A weather warning lasting 12 hours has been issued by the Met Office as heavy rain is expected to hit Nottinghamshire on Sunday, September 19.

The yellow weather warning is in place from 12midday on Sunday, lasting until 12midnight.

According to the Met Office, heavy showers may lead to localised flooding and disruption to transport.

Nottinghamshire residents should expect a small chance of homes and businesses to be flooded and there is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services.

The warning spans from the south coast of England all the way up Newcastle and covers Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

Temperatures on Sunday are expected to be no higher than 18C between 1-2pm.
