A yellow weather warning is in place across Glasgow today as the Met Office warns of heavy showers and thunderstorms ahead.
The forecast is for a “risk of slow moving heavy showers and thunderstorms which may lead to some disruption”, with the alert in place between 4pm and midnight today.
It warns of a risk of flooding, difficult driving conditions and possible road closures as a result, and covers all of Greater Glasgow, as well as Stirling, Edinburgh and Dumfries.
The forecast shows a cloudy morning here in Glasgow, with rain moving in this afternoon and the risk of thunder developing around 4pm. Temperatures will hit a muggy high of 20C.
The latest forecast is bad news for those hoping for a weekend in the parks following Nicola Strugeon's decision to enter Phase 2 of her roadmap out of lockdown.
Fingers crossed the Met have it wrong though and we'll be socialising with our pals in the sun soon (at a safe distance of course!).
