A "yellow pages" of Liverpool’s independent restaurants has launched to help businesses through the coronavirus outbreak.
Deliverpool is a new platform created in response to the ongoing crisis and the government’s announcement that bars and restaurants across the country must close to stop the spread.
61 venues - with more joining each day - from across Liverpool are now on board.
Deliverpool offers an up-to-date list of all the independent restaurants still operating delivery or collection service. Customers can then contact the restaurant they’d like to order from.
Victoria Charlton, co-founder of Deliverpool and Bitter Social, said: “We created the Deliverpool platform in response to the Prime Minister’s announcement to close all bars and restaurants to help slow the spread of COVID 19.
“Owning a restaurant business ourselves, we were absolutely gutted to find out that the high profile take-out apps were asking for large, crippling joining fees as well as taking a massive chunk of sales. We asked around and a lot of our neighbours were having the same thoughts so we knew something had to be done.
“The response so far has been amazing. We hope it keeps up because Liverpool needs its Independent venues.
“We’re not entirely sure what the future holds for Deliverpool but the more we grow, the more our independents thrive. Stay safe, stay local.”
Independent restaurants already listed on Deliverpool include Root Coffee, Spice Thai, Down The Hatch and more.
