Service resumes on Yellow Line after track switching issues cause delays

Colin Boyle | Sun-Times

Service resumed on the CTA Yellow Line Saturday night after track switching problems at the Howard station on the North Side caused major delays earlier in the day.

The agency announced that Yellow, Red and Purple Line trains were standing at Howard at 3:19 p.m., and then suspended Yellow Line service entirely at 3:38 p.m.

Service on the Red and Purple lines had resumed as of 4:45 p.m., the CTA said. Service on the Yellow line had resumed with delays as of 5:40 p.m.
