CTA Yellow Line service was suspended Tuesday after a derailment in north suburban Skokie.

Officials announced the suspension just before 4 p.m., saying service was suspended due to a derailment near the Oakton station.

The CTA 97 bus is suggested as an alternative, and a shuttle bus is available between the Howard and Dempster-Skokie station, CTA said.
