KOCHI: India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday that under the influence of westerly winds along the west coast and a trough from south interior Karnataka to Comorin area, isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Kerala for the next four days.
Yellow alerts for isolated heavy rainfall (7-11cm) have been issued for all districts except Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Kottayam on Thursday.
Squally weather with wind speed reaching 40-50km/hour is likely to prevail over the coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea till June 18.
