Yellamundie, which translates as storyteller in the Darug language, is an artistic and cultural meeting place. This year’s National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Playwriting festival brings together Indigenous playwrights, actors, directors and dramatists from across Australia to give voice to six new plays.
From a rodeo in the late 1960s to science fiction in the 1970s; an outback thriller to a comedy set on the Bass Strait islands, the plays cover a plethora of genres, topics and settings pertinent to all of Australia.
