YDM Thailand plans to develop a digital media platform for the automotive news and event organiser, Grand Prix International (GPI), using big data to improve search results for information about motor vehicles.
As part of the deal, YDM will design a platform for GPI and expand their digital marketing services. The company provides services to customers for consumer products, finance, banking and real estate.
The deal would allow YDM to expand into the automotive sector.
Thanapol Subsomboon, chief executive of YDM Thailand, said big data analytics is important for operations in the automotive industry, allowing businesses to reach a new generation of consumers by analysing information that reaches first-time buyers.
Mr Thanapol said there is a lot of information for automotive buyers to search for online, therefore a database for the automotive industry would be greatly beneficial for a large number of consumers.
The platform would help business operations by improving online marketing efficiency, he said.
He said YDM, which is partnering with South Korean Unicorn Yello Digital Marketing (YDM), also has support from new investors in Thailand such as InTouch Holdings, Government Savings Bank and the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
"YDM Thailand plans to list on the SET in 2020," said Mr Thanapol.
GPI is ready to develop a mobile application to gather more information from consumers, hoping to become a leader in news and information services for the automotive industry.
Prachin Eamlamnao, chief executive of GPI, said the company chose YDM to develop their digital platform and improve big data analysis to improve customer behaviour tracking and support online marketing work in various ways.
