Yate recruitment tycoon Darren Ryemill pretends to be teaching assistant for TV show

Recruitment tycoon Darren Ryemill is set to star in the latest episode of Channel Four's hit TV series the Secret Teacher.

Darren, who is from Yate originally, is the founder of Opus Talent Solutions which has a turnover of £74m and hires more than 250 employees.

But the millionaire swapped his fast-paced lifestyle to get back to basics by going undercover as a teaching assistant at the all-boys Forest School in Wokingham, Berkshire.

The new channel 4 programme, shows Darren horrified by the state of schools today.

During the episode, due to air tomorrow evening (Thursday August 28), he is shocked by the building's state of disrepair, with peeling paint and leaking toilets.

He then focuses his attentions on 15-year-old Levi who has been using the school's Return to Learn initiative, where boys are sent as an alternative to exclusion. A heart-to-heart with Darren reveals there is more to Levi's behaviour than first meets the eye.

The Secret Teacher airs on Channel Four at 9pm.
