Yasmeen's murder trial in jeopardy on Coronation Street as she suffers shock collapse

Corrie viewers will be left fearing for Yasmeen Metcalfe in Coronation Street next week as she suffers a shock collapse.

Yasmeen has spent months behind bars for the attempted murder of husband Geoff Metcalfe - and it's finally the day of the trial.

But things are thrown into jeopardy when she collapses in the visiting room of the prison.

Her health scare comes after she tells Imran Habeeb she was visited by someone claiming to have been abused by Geoff.

He vows to track her down, but it all becomes too much for Yasmeen and an upset Alya Nazir later tells Ryan Connor she has had a heart attack.

In the week leading up to the collapse, Geoff uses his hospital radio show to talk about how he has forgiven Yasmeen and wants to help her.

Elsewhere, Yasmeen tells her cell mate she is getting a visit from a women's charity.

When the woman arrives, Yasmeen is shocked when the mystery character reveals the truth behind her visit.

Yasmeen's cell mate also gives her a book on coercive control and she soon rings Geoff and tells him she does want to be with him again.

But is she playing him at his own game.

Will she make it to her a trial?

Coronation Street continues on Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
