'Yannick is Yannick' - Neil Warnock makes Bolasie transfer admission with Everton contract expiring

Neil Warnock has hinted he would like to keep on-loan Everton winger Yannick Bolasie at Middlesbrough.

Bolasie will be a free agent when his Everton contract expires in the summer and has not appeared in the Premier League since 2018.

The 31-year-old rejoined Warnock - who he worked under at Crystal Palace - until the end of the season in January and has since made five appearances in the Championship, mainly being utilised as a centre-forward.

When asked if he has spoken with Bolasie about his future Warnock said: “Not really, no.

“Yannick is Yannick. I would imagine he’ll be looking at all of his options at the moment with his contract up at the end of the season.

“I don’t worry about him...What will be will be.

“At the same time, I do want wide players and so we are looking at that situation.”
