Yannick Carrasco's future is far from resolved as Arsenal and Inter Milan weigh up a move for the unhappy Dalian Yifang player.
Arsenal have been aware of the 25-year-old's availability throughout January and are ready to turn attention to bringing the former Atletico Madrid winger back to Europe after growing frustrated with Inter's stance on Ivan Perisic.
As with every Arsenal target during this window, the selling - or loaning - club are looking for a fee either in this window or the possibility of one in the summer
The Chinese Super League outfit are hoping to recoup £35 million for a player signed less than 12 months ago, though Arsenal are understood to be discussing an initial loan move on Wednesday morning.
Inter signing Carrasco could, ironically, relax their stance on Perisic and pave to way for the World Cup finalist to move to the Emirates Stadium.
“There’s plenty of interest in Yannick from all over Europe because his family are having problems adapting to China,” Christophe Henrotay told Inter Dipendenza.
“He wants to be honest with them, and it’s for this reason that he’s talked to the club, informing them that he isn’t 100 percent focused because of his family’s difficulties [in adapting to China].
“There’s the possibility that Dalian reward this honesty and talk to the clubs interested in him.”
He added to Radio Rossonera: "Everything is possible but it seems difficult to do.
"It would need decisive and rapid movement by the interested clubs involved to discuss and deal with the current club of Carrasco."
