Yannick Carrasco reveals why his style would be perfect for Arsenal in the Premier League

Yannick Carrasco has dropped the biggest hint yet that he could be moving to the Premier League this summer.

Arsenal tried to sign the Belgian winger on a loan deal in January but found it far from simple to conduct business with Chinese side Dalian Yifang, who were reluctant to lose their best player before the start of the season.

The Gunners instead signed Denis Suarez from Barcelona in a disastrous deal, which saw the Spaniard fail to make a single Premier League start.

Former head of recruitment Sven Mislintat had championed a move for Carrasco but Arsenal's interest has not faded entirely since 'Diamond Eye' left for Stuttgart.

Certainly it is a move that Carrasco himself would be keen to complete, and he confirmed that talks to leave the club are progressing.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper  Sport , the Belgian international said: "Negotiations are going well.

"I am aware that I am an important player for the team but I hope they let me leave.

"From a personal and family point of view, I would like to return to Europe."

Carrasco also added that his playing style would perfectly complement the Premier League, should he complete a move.

"The Premier League is more physical, but there are also a lot of spaces to run into."

However, with Dalian Yifang not short of money Arsenal's interest in Carrasco may be dictated by the financial terms of any deal.

Unai Emery's side failed to qualify for the Champions League after finishing fifth in the Premier League and losing the Europa League final to Chelsea , so their transfer budget will be limited.
