Yannick Bolasie sends stern message to pundits after Everton injury claim

Yannick Bolasie has sent a stern message to those who believe he is injury prone during Everton's match against Crystal Palace.

The winger was left out of the squad as the Blues travelled to face his former club at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon, with both sides unbeaten so far in the Premier League.

However, the 31-year-old was still watching the action on Amazon Prime Video and took issue with one particular view from the commentators.

Bolasie referred to his long term injury suffered in December 2016 which kept him out of action for a year, but was adamant that issue alone didn't make him "injury prone".

The winger tweeted: "You would think by what’s being said on TV I’ve had loads of injuries.

"I’ve suffered 1 serious injury in my career. Don’t mix my name in that injury prone talk.....injuries & chances are different things, played over 50 games last 2 seasons

"Anyways back to the game."

Bolasie spent last season on loan with Sporting CP, following two temporary spells at Aston Villa and Anderlecht in the previous campaign.
