Yannick Bolasie open to Anderlecht move after missing out on Crystal Palace return

Everton winger Yannick Bolasie is considering a move to Belgian side Anderlecht after missing out on a return to Crystal Palace.

Bolasie, who left south London for Merseyside in 2016, has put an end to his loan deal with Championship side Aston Villa - for whom he has started just nine league games this season.

The 29-year-old had been keen on moving back to Selhurst Park and was of interest to the London club, before they moved to resign Bakary Sako from West Brom this month.

The DR Congo international is keen to get some more game time this season with the African Cup of Nations on the horizon, and is not ruling out a move to Belgium.

“Anderlecht can be interesting for me," Bolasie told Belgian newspaper HLN.

"I have seen the information circulate, I do not say, 'No'. After all, I have to play with a view to the African Nations Cup that is coming."

Palace are thought to have failed in a deadline day loan move for Southampton striker Charlie Austin, with Saints only looking to let the striker go on a permanent basis.
