Yannick Bolasie leaves Everton on loan deal until end of season

Yannick Bolasie has completed a loan move to Middlesbrough until the end of the season.

The temporary move effectively brings the 31-year-old's time with Everton to an end as his contract with the club runs out in the summer.

The winger has been linked with a potential switch to the Riverside since the summer to join up with Neil Warwick with the Championship side.

Boro currently find themselves in seventh in the table as they bid for potential promotion to the Premier League.

Bolasie has made 32 appearances for Everton since joining the club in the summer of 2016 from Crystal Palace, scoring twice in that time.

Boro boss Neil Warnock said: “I’ve known Yannick for many years.

"I asked him if he could help us out until the end of the season and get some fitness in at the same time.

“We can’t expect wonders but he’s a good lad and he can play different positions for me. He’ll be good in the dressing room and it’s a big boost for us.”
