CLEVELAND _ Yankees right-hander Sonny Gray will get the start in Thursday's AL Division Series opener against the Indians at Progressive Field.
And it'll be veteran lefty CC Sabathia in Game 2.
Sabathia was the choice over both Masahiro Tanaka and Luis Severino, who could be a bullpen option for the Yankees in Game 1, considering that David Robertson and Chad Greene are likely to be unavailable after working multiple innings in Tuesday's wild card win.
Knocked out after throwing just 29 pitches, and recording one out on Tuesday against the Twins, Severino was an option to start Game 2.
Tanaka or Severino could get the nod in Game 3, when the best-of-five series switches to Yankee Stadium.
