Yankees Rookie Pitcher Threw Three Filthy Strikes That Looked Like They Were Wiffle Balls

Major League Baseball is back, which means we’re back to watching lots of pitchers throwing nasty pitches that make you wonder how any batter gets a hit at the professional level. 

If you need more proof of this, just check out what New York Yankees rookie Bryce Warrecker did on Sunday while facing Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Matt Kroon in Clearwater, Fla. The right-hander, who was selected in the 20th round of last June’s draft out of Cal Poly, threw three sweepers for strikes that looked like they were Wiffle balls. 

Kroon didn’t stand a chance with any of these pitches, and he ended up striking out swinging: 

Filthy.
